UPDATE III: Police told the Times that the scene of the crime was the Soho apartment of actress Mary-Kate Olsen, but Olsen reps claim this is not the case. (Olsen, however, is currently attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.)

UPDATE II: The New York Times has confirmed the actor's death as well. Ledger, 28, was found unconscious by a housekeeper and a masseuse early this morning, apparently the victim of a pill overdose. Calls to Mara Buxbaum and Steve Alexander, Ledger's publicists, went straight to voicemail.

UPDATE: TMZ confirms.

We're hearing a totally crazy rumor that Heath Ledger has been found dead of an overdose. It could be totally off-base, but if it's not we want credit for "reporting" it first. Let us know if you've heard anything!

First off, R.I.P., my former Brooklyn Brother.

Second: Ashley Olsen?!!!! I want an in depth report from 20/20 post-haste!

No, make that Mary Kate!

Now I want a hardball, take no prisoners grilling, by a snarling 5-0 in a small, dank room complete with a small metal chair, and a lone, dangling light bulb. And don't forget the masking tape and rubber hose.

I'll have to take back some of my comments about Mary Kate. Heath did not die in her apartment apparently.

But I'd still like to see her tortured.

For her fashion sense.
