< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Does a Pre-Penned AP Obit Increase Lifespan?
UNTREATED Ledger In a statement defending the decision to move forward with the Spears obit, AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington said, "We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it's easily one of the biggest stories in a long time," adding that "if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared." Though the AP has more than 1,000 prepared obituaries—most of which are for people over 70—they did not have one for either Anna Nicole Smith or Brad Renfro, both of whom, most would say, ran at least the same risk of an early death as Spears. Granted, Ledger's demise came with only faint whispers of illness, either mental or drug-related. But it all begs the question: If the AP obit team has written your death notice, could you possibly live forever?
this could be the stupidest piece of material written since "Where the Sidewalk Ends." (no plot, no character development, predictable ending.) John Clarke Jr., when you were busy studying hard at whatever community college you attended, did you dream of one day writing something as prolific as "If the AP obit team has written your death notice, could you possibly live forever?" What a waste of time, space and imaginary ink. If you were trying to be smart, you're not. If you were trying to be funny, you definitely are not. I'm not getting the point you are trying to make, but all i know is that John Clarke Sr. is probably ashamed of his dim witted, hokey, toothless (totally guessing) son. But I cant wait for future articles you're dreaming up right now while staring out your Studio apartment window, like "Plant a tree, kill a child?" or "Cosby; Fact or Fiction." keep up the awful work dumbass. Posted by: slinkimalinki on January 23, 2008 4:56 PM prolific - producing offspring, young, fruit, etc., abundantly; highly fruitful BOOYAH! oh, and i will write that article. but i need some things first. 1) a tree, plant, shrub or bush 2) a baby of normal weight and height 3) parole.
