Britney's Medical Crisis: What We Know

THIS IS BAD, RIGHT? Britney
The mystery remains as to what substance Britney Spears was on last night when police showed up to the pop tart's house. Here's what we do know:

After a court-appointed child monitor called the police, a whole mess of flashing lights came to the house (which was already fairly well-lit). Britney was taken via ambulance to L.A.'s hospital-to-the-stars, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Paramedics attempted to strap down the pop tart's legs in the ambulance.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Brit Brit, as is her wont, flipped off the paparazzi. Hospital sources say she will be on a minimum 72-hour lockdownfor mental evaluation. The hospital has designated her a "special needs" patient, which translates to someone who's overdosed or is a danger to themselves or others. A hospital employee is typically designated to sit with special needs patients to prevent them from harming themselves and monitor visitors. Supposedly, and sadly, no one really wanted to sit with Britney.

Meanwhile, K-Fed snuck off to court for a few, where the former couples' lawyers were discussing the meltdown with a judge. Federline's lawyers asked that Brit's visitation rights be stripped while she recovered in the hospital on "mental hold."

The LAPD is calling the incident an on "ongoing investigation," saying "for her own welfare, [Spears] was taken to the local hospital for treatment," while distraught mamma Lynne Spears says "Just say prayers," which, presumably, doubles as her advice for birth control.
