A Lo-Down Dirty Scam?

Despite what you may have read, Hollywoodbottom feeder Mitch Mortaza is not dating LindsayLohan.
For the past several weeks, some apparent associates of Mortaza—partypromoters linked to the Cabana and Spider clubs in L.A.—have been e-mailing "exclusive tips" to various publications chronicling a tumultuousromance between the teen queen and the 31-year-old TV producer. Several of thetips have been printed nearly verbatim. None of them appear to be true.
In this week’s e-mail installment, the promoters even suggest that the realreason Lohan cut short her Herbie: Fully Loaded press tour was not toreturn home to support her mother, Dina, during her divorceproceedings, as reported, but to reunite with Mortaza in New York. Lohan’salleged relationship with Mortaza—whose only credit to date is the Lingerie Bowl, a pay-per-view fiasco featuring models rolling around onAstro Turf in their undies—has been written up in the New YorkPost’s Page Six, E! Online and Star magazine, among otherplaces. On the Lingerie Bowl website, Mortaza is described as "The 21st Century Hugh Hefner."
But Lohan’s rep, Leslie Sloane, says thestarlet doesn’t even know him: “I’ve got tabloid reporterscalling me every day with these same items, saying they heard he was seen outsideCartier buying her a ring—all from the same source. She’s not datinghim. There is no way they are together. She’s in Long Island with herfamily and will be returning to L.A. in ten days. I think Mitch needs to get alife. I’m ready to stick a cease and desist on these guys.”
When contacted at the Cabana Club, the writer of the e-mails denied sending them, and Mortaza’s rep said she could not comment on his "personal life."
