As if job cuts and lay-offs weren't bad enough, staffers at the New York Times and Time Inc. now have to cope with an even graver injustice: no company-sponsored holiday parties.

Things at the glossies seem to be better. The hot spot this year, according to a list compiled by Fashion Week Daily, is NBC wunderkind Ben Silverman's West Village hangout Socialista, which will host parties for Allure, the Elle Group, and the Vogue Group (Teen Vogue, Men's Vogue, and Vogue Living).

Where the rest of the herd will be getting drunk and doing especially naughty things with co-workers:

Portfolio: Runway
The New Yorker: BBQ joint Hill Country
Vanity Fair: Sidecar at P.J. Clarke's
Travel + Leisure: The Royalton hotel
Condé Nast Traveler: Dell'Anima

GQ: Meatpacking District club Passerby
Details: Bowery Bar [Ed note: wtf?!]

Us Weekly, Men's Journal, Rolling Stone: The Madison
New York magazine: The Cub Room in Soho
Lucky: Pop Burger

The New York Observer: The Beatrice Inn

For the second straight year, Hearst employees will be lavished with a party at the Hearst Towers, with food by in-house cafeteria managers, Restaurant Associates.

Comments

Radar's party, for its part, will be held in the Duane Reade on 2nd Ave. and 45th street. Bring plenty of cash for the deep discounts on Neutrogena facial products.

Free copies of Radar 2.0 will be available as well! Remember? The one with George W Bush and Paris Hilton on the cover!

Oh, you don't? Nevermind then...
