Alex Balk Out At Radar?

THIS CHARMING MAN Balk (artist's rendering)
A post placed this morning on popular classified website Craigslist sent shockwaves through Manhattan's media community. Purporting to have a vacant position for Radar's Senior Online editor, the post suggested that recent acquisition Alex Balk had left the publication to "join 'Out' magazine."

Reached for comment, Balk responded, "That's absolutely untrue. It's hysterical, sure, although at the very least they could have gotten my title right: It's Executive Editor, Radaronline.com. Because Executive Editor is the most important editor, and that's who I am, the most important editor." Balk's comments were widely echoed amongst the Radar staff, who spoke of how, in a mere matter of weeks, he had changed the entire tenor of the workplace. "It used to be people would stroll in at 11 and stare at their computer screens wondering how long it would be until they could go home. Now most of them are in at 10:30!" Others noted his "ever-present enthusiasm and positivity," his "infectious giggle," and "his stunning good looks, which give us all a reason to show up in the morning." There's been no explanation yet as to the provenance of the post, but both Radar readers and employees can rest assured: Alex Balk, their hero and secret masturbation fantasy, isn't going anywhere just yet.

What the person who posted the ad Craigslist doesn't seem to realize is that working for RADAR is a lot gayer than working for OUT.

I'd like to snort me some Alex Balk.

Besides, Out is clearly way to big a leap up the ladder from Radar. First he's got to make the requisite steps through Marine Engine Digest, Word Up!, Walking Magazine, the New York Press, and Poz.

That is some intense symbolism with the canoe.

Too self-referential

I'd hit it

Not referential enough.

You people need to get lives. Also, my feet are FANTASTIC.

Alex Balk is brilliant... and brave. And gay.

I should deny a body this beautiful to anyone just because of outdated notions of morality? It would be criminal.
