PIANO MANSION Joel's new place in the Hamptons

Billy Joel buys and sells houses like most people change their underwear, and according to the New York Post, the aging singer/songwriter has plunked down almost $19 million for a 5,000-plus-square-foot oceanfront home in the Hamptons.

Turns out the former owner-turned-real-estate shark is Jaws-slayer, perma-tan-purveyor Roy Scheider. The house features 360-degree views and sits on an acre of land overlooking Gibson Beach in rural yet glitzy Sagaponack, well known for the many bronzed and topless sunbathers who gather there in the summer.
