< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence The MySpace Friend Race '08!
Radar continues to track the '08 presidential race the high school way: by tallying the candidates' MySpace friends (only those with at least 1,000 qualified). Last week, Barack Obama took a gamble, giving up 160,000 friends in order to wrestle control of his MySpace page from a California paralegal and former campaign supporter (hence the strangeness in his bit of the above graph—the pink portion is his current level). After the move, he was down in Screech territory with just over 20,000 friends. This week, he rockets up to 61,767, clear into A.C. Slater country. Welcome back, Barack! Click here for the full rundown! Where's Kelly? The cheerleader chick. Posted by: wendywayrad on May 11, 2007 11:53 PM First of all...as a fellow journalist I pride myself on making sure I have the most obvious facts straight before I "go to print." The previous comment is correct GM is still immensely popular in the rest of the world. His tours have sold out in a matter of minutes in some places. So to imply he's a has-been is just bad form. Also, there's no indication yet that Mr. Michael will be doing any time in the pokey. The prosecutors dropped the most serious charges and his case is still pending. Sentencing doesn't even take place until the end of the month. So that at least you appear to have a clue my advice, check out a few reliable sources before you decide to pen this trash.
