Sharpton to Get the Sharpton Treatment from Beck

Is Al Sharpton about to get a taste of his own coercive medicine? The irreverent reverend is slated to be a guest on Glenn Beck's CNN Headline News program tonight to discuss the controversy surrounding a recent remark he made about Mormon presidential candidate Mitt Romney. On the air last night, Beck, a Mormon, said he would "ask [Sharpton] about those comments about Mitt Romney and the entire Mormon faith."

On Monday, during a debate about religion with staunch atheist Christopher Hitchens, Sharpton said of Romney, "As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don't worry about that." Romney responded by labeling Sharpton's remark "bigoted," though Sharpton has defended his comment, saying he didn't mean to imply that Mormons don't believe in God.

Will Sharpton—who has so often forced public figures accused of racism to come on his radio show and grovel for his listeners' forgiveness—tender an apology to Mormons on Beck's program? A spokesman for Sharpton says only that he will "clarify his position."

Mormons believe in God. They also believe in the Garden of Eden was located somewhere in Missouri. LOL

After reading an account of the debate at which Sharpton made his remarks, I have to conclude that Mitt Romney cannot read or, if he can read, is unable to process the information. I think Romney and his supporters have made a big mistake in puffing up this non-issue. Stupidity is temporarily out of fashion, due to the very bad results obtained from the present idiot in chief.

Isn't it amazing how Americans have difficulty understanding the politics of religion in the middle east, and then exchange barbs over the same idiotic differences in doctrine in the political arena. If Jesus and Joseph Smith had radio talk shows and publicists, we wouldn't even remember who they were.
