If she had, she'd recognize the references in a recent Gallery of the Absurd piece which was later reposted on Dlisted.com. Paris's attorney is now threatening a lawsuit against the artist and Dlisted's Michael K. "They say it's an 'altered' version of The Simple Life poster, but it's not altered. It's art. It's a damn cartoon!" Michael K. tells Radar. "I think Paris is getting sue-happy, because she's sick of being the butt of the joke. The problem is, I think that's what her career is based on."
In the poster, a beaver-like creature suckles the manboob of a profusely sweating Brandon Davis figure. Paris flashes her own goods (beaver imagery plays prominently) while sitting next to a box marked "Valtrex." A skeletal Nicole Richie sits next to a box of Vicodin and both have distorted facial features. It's Hieronymous Bosch on E! Gallery of the Absurd still has it up.
"I'm currently very perplexed how my silly cartoon can be accused of 'defaming' Paris Hilton any more than she has already defamed herself," says the piece's artist, who goes by "14." The content I create for Gallery of the Absurd is based on gossip that already exists.... She created her own public image by her own actions.
