Hard Statistics, did you even see the same debate as I did? Geraldo "statistics" were crap. Illegals commit crimes at lower rates then US citizens? Not according to prison populations.

You've got to be kidding me? either you're smoking something or someone needs to slap you upside the head, Geraldo clearly lost this one. Enforce the laws, it's pretty simple!

The argument that our own citizens commit more crimes is one of those Liberal "I win" answers that takes the wrong approach to the problem.

1st - I don't have the answer but lets look at the numbers based on % of each demographic (legal and illegal).

2nd - Just because our own citizens commit crimes doesn't mean we need to take on more criminals. It also doesn't make it ok for those criminals to be here just because they commit less crimes.

Geraldo took the easy, innacurate answer and that is what stumped O'Reilly. But it doesn't mean that O'Reilly lost. It's just impossible to argue with a sack of potatoes.

A new point that I have from watching again.

Geraldo stated that there are more Citizens in jail then Illegal Aliens. Again we must look at there % of the population and on top of that is the fact that MOST states do not check the immigration status of there prison population. Once again a Fradulent argument by Geraldo.

Gerry Rivers is telling a half-truth. "Immigrants" don't break laws as much as US citizens but ONLY if you include legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants (more acurately, illegal aliens) do indeed commit crimes at a higher rate than citizens and legal residents.

Let's start at: 1) coming here without permission(a visa). 2) working here while being an illegal. 3) often having fake or stolen ID's social security numbers, driver licenses. 4) Income tax evasion (paid under the table), etc.

Shall I go on? What part of illegal don't you understand?

Geraldo is wrong about illegal’s committing less crime.
Around one fourth of our prison population is illegal aliens. Many Illegals caught using fake documents end up deported. Until just recently law enforcement could not ask citizenship and some states still can’t. We have no accurate numbers living here, or on crime, social services, and hospitals costs when dealing with illegal aliens.
Geraldo is spouting unproven propaganda repeating over and over by pro-illegal alien groups, studies all done by biased groups, always with missing data.
Plus I didn’t know Geraldo had a job.

Mr. Rivera has his facts wrong. Maybe Rivera should pay a visit to the Los Angeles County jail and explain why illegal aliens account for 20 % to 25 % of the jail population or why illegal aliens account for almost a third of the California's state prison population.
Maybe Rivera can explain why in In Los Angeles County, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.

As for Mr. Rivera's attack againts Lou Dobbs. Unlike Geraldo Rivera, Lou Dobbs was never kicked out of Iraq for aiding the enemy by reporting the position of U.S. Marines who were engaged in combat at the time.
Mr. Rivera, stupidity isn't an excuse for treason.

Geraldo, a has been who has a personal agenda in this matter is not the best ambassador for this cause... Illegal aliens, by their unlawful presence are already in the commision of a crime.

The truth (FACTS) are, since the 1965 Immigration Reform Act who Teddy Kennedy was the author of, there really isn't any standards for legal immigration. The 1965 Immigration Reform Act pretty much cut off most legal immigration from Europe and opened up legal immigration to mostly third world, uneducated, unskilled, poverty stricken immigrants.

Why did Teddy Kennedy to this ? Well Joseph Kennedy ( his father) was pushing for such a immigration policy to insure his family's political power in the future. Uneducated, poverty stricken citizens will usaly vote the Democratic ticket.

Today, the average Mexican immigrant, legal and illegal are uneducated, usaly a 6th grade education. And they refuse to assimulate to the American culture and hold on to their old culture, believes and superstitions.
But I've noticed that Chinease immigrants seem to assimulate to the American life style and culture. Put a bag over the face of a young first generation American of Chinease immigrants, and you couldn't tell if you were talking to a 5th generation white girl or a first generation Chinease American. She dresses like an American, speakes english with out a heavy accent and seems to be educated. You can't say the same about a anchor baby or even a first generation Mexican American of legal Mexican immigrants. Facts are, with a 50 % dropout rate from our schools and a high criminal record rate among all Hispanics from Mexico and Central America, legal and illegal accounts why Hispanics may account for 14 % of our nations population but they represent less of a percentage of those serving in our armed services today. Not because they aren't patriotic but because over 50 % of the Hispanics in America can't qualify to serve. Either they lack a high school diploma or have a criminal record. The U.S. Army did lower their standards for Hispanics in the late 90's to allow a larger number of high school dropout to enlist into the army.

Our country does need immigration reform. We need to go back to the day when immigrants were screened. If you had a pimple on your face, they put you back on the boat and returned you from where you came from. We need to stop importing POVERTY ! and uneducated and unskilled immigrants who have a problem of assimulation and who depend on sucking off of the American tax payers.

Watching my country becoming a third world country so the Kennedy family can insure their political power in the future and the multi-national corporations can accomplish their goal of a world without borders and a unlimitted supply of cheap labor at the cost of the American middle class being something of the past.Well this Minuteman will stand guard on the border to do the job that this current adminstration and Congress refuse to do, to protect the sovereignty of the United States.

Even though O'Reilly was one hundred percent correct in exposing this horrible crime committed by a non-citizen (illegal alien), he allowed his "Guest" (Illegal Alien Sympathizer Rivera)to take control and make complete asses out of himself and O'Reilly!

O'Reilly allowed a serious discussion of this horrible crime to denigrate into a childish yelling match between two supposedly intelligent adult reporters?

O'Reilly lost control of his program and his ratings will truly suffer because he allowed this to happen.

Nobody is interested in hearing two adults yell at each other to get their points across except on the Jerry Springer and Maury Povich shows. Apparently, this is the kind of audience O'Reilly is striving for??

Geraldo Rivera (Gerry Rivers) was outrageously absurd. He most certainly did not gain a "point" with his so-called "facts" in his exchange with Bill O'Reilly, as they were inaccurate. In addition, his argument is fallacious for the simple reason that had the illegal alien drunk driver been reported to ICE for any of his 3 drunk driving or identity fraud convictions and been deported, the two girls in Virginia Beach--and 24 other Americans who are DAILY killed by illegal aliens according to Rep. Steve King's website--would still be alive. Although I do not agree with O'Reilly many times, he is right that either we are a nation of laws that should be enforced or we will end up with anarchy. If I had been in O'Reilly's shoes, I might have been sorely tempted to either whack him or simply end the interview which had gotten out of control. You cannot reason with dunderheads.

O'Reilly is playing to the white hooded crowd as he well knows that Immigration Law is a FEDERAL matter and that a Mayor or a City Council have nothing to do with enforcement. We have the Courts to protect the rights of the minorities. You can't make up government to your personal like or dislike.

California passed the xenophobic prop 187 and attorney Peter Schey had it tossed out of Court even though it recieved 60% of the vote. Prop 187 was UNCONSTITUTIONAL (Plyer v.Doe) and the Constitution is the law of the land.

The days of lynch them high are gladfully a thing of the past.

Since this was a discussion about drunk drivers and illegal invaders, I wonder where Gerald Riviera (the name on his birth certificate) got his facts.

According to the Feds, illegals make up about 5% of the US population, but they are involved in about one third of all DUI fatalities.

In any area where large numbers of these invaders are present, they represent anywhere from 10 to 30 percent of the jail and prison population.

Considering the fact that many invaders who commit crimes here are not caught, or if caught simply deported, how can anyone state, as a fact, that invaders commit fewer crimes than Americans on a per capita basis?

Geraldo is dead wrong (like the two girls!) and O'Rielly is correct.
