< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Giuliani's Unmentionable Son
Rudy Giuliani may have some trouble answering all those pesky questions about why his son, Andrew, isn't voting him Father of the Year. A source tells Radar that clauses in the former mayor's divorce settlement with Donna Hanover forbid him from speaking about their children in the media. If only the agreement worked both ways. "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife," estranged Andrew said of his pops in the New York Times this week, effectively throwing a wrench in his father's campaign. "And we're trying to figure that out. But as of right now it's not working as well as we would like." If Rudy's response—"These problems with blended families are challenges, and the challenges are best worked on privately"—seems measured, it's because he's even restricted from, say, extolling Andrew's golf game to reporters, presumably because doing so would exploit the tenuous father-son relationship for political gain. Is the gag order strong enough to choke off Giuliani's presidential campaign? Asked about the divorce settlement clause, his lawyer, Raoul Felder, was equally mum. The problem is that it's not like him and his son just don't get a long. it's that he publicaly humiliated his kids by announcing his divorce in a press conferance without telling his family. Blended family? Give me a break. Why not vote for the whole package? http://www.mymanmitt.com/mitt-romney/2007/03/fox-news-mitt-romney-whole-package.asp Posted by: Jason on March 8, 2007 12:03 AM The problem is that it's not like him and his son just don't get a long. it's that he publicaly humiliated his kids by announcing his divorce in a press conferance without telling his family.
