'YOU' SUCK Time
Apparently "We" are not amused that Time chose "You" as its Person of the Year. Based on these comments from Web wags and pundits, "You" is totally lame:

• "I've heard of pandering to the reader but this is ridiculous."—James Wolcott, December 16, 2006

• "[P]redictable gimmick..."—Michelle Malkin, December 17, 2006

• "I'm proud of me. I'm proud of 'You.' I'm proud of us. But like all people who stand before you holding a trophy, I feel compelled to say that I can't help thinking a mistake has been made, and unlike most of the people who utter those bromidic words, I actually believe them."—Nora Ephron, December 17, 2006

• "I've been named Person of the Year. Obviously, a person of my stature should be better compensated. And, as Person of the Year, I assume you have the wisdom to see that. "—Jonah Goldberg, December 18, 2006

• "According to my rudimentary search, there are more than 300 people in the United States with the last name "You." Therefore, Jonah, you don't get a raise."—John Podhoretz, December 18, 2006
