Fox News: Meet the Duke Lacrosse Rape Accuser

fox_logo.jpg
ETHICS ON THE FLY FNC
We know how some of Fox News Channel's brighter bulbs feel about the accuser in the Duke rape case: Sean Hannity has described her a "passed out drunk" of "dubious credibility." But he's never called her by name, because Fox—like most news organizations—has a policy of declining to name the accusers in rape cases.

Until now.

Foxnews.com, where the "WAR ON TERROR" is just a click away, has posted the most recent defense filing in the case this afternoon, which reveals that the accuser had DNA from several men on her body and in her underwear. It also reveals the accuser's name, unredacted.

The Charlotte News & Observer also posted the filing on its website, too, but took the time to black out the accuser's name.

Ken LaCorte, the vice president and senior executive producer of Foxnews.com, said the disclosure "was unintentional and is being corrected." As of 7 p.m. EST, the unredacted filing was still available on the site.

Tick ... tick ... tick ...

UPDATE: At 7:25 p.m. EST, several hours, and who knows how many downloads later, Fox News took down its link to the document.

Can you spell "Tawana Brawley". This is worse than that hoax. The liberal media would love to indict and convict 3 rich, white cllege lacrosse players at an upscale, priveleged place like Duke for raping a poor, black exotic dancer. But there's no case! Time- lines are all wrong, she's lied several times, none of the Multiple DNA samples match and the DNA recovered from her vaginal and anal cavities were from mutiple male sex partners. Yeah, keep bashing Fox News and Hanitty. Nifong should be brought up on charges of prosecutorial mis-conduct and be hung and quartered. The civil rights of the Duke students have been violated

What was the position of the Duke Lacrosse team in the league, and what important match-ups were they scheduled for that got cancelled when this hit the news?

The coach quit, the team's season was cancelled.
WHO stood to benefit if Duke were taken out of contention in Lacrosse???

This woman's story is so thin, it's like she was picked up in a bar and paid a few hundred dollars to trump up this tale. The DA, for totally unexplained reasons, has withheld evidence, pushed forward on a thin case with extreme and unexplanable ferocity, and refuses to back down. Enough legal loopholes have been made to have this case (EVENTUALLY) thown out of court...

WHAT is the current status of the Duke Lacrosse team in the league?

This is almost a comedy movie of misdirection. In the then, the three players will be acquitted, charges dismissed, with some very heavy penalties for Nifong, and possibly the accuser...Is Nifong THAT supid/headstrong, or are there other factors behind the TIMING of this case?

Gambling? Ranking? Money? Jobs? WHAT? What is the repercussions of this case doing to the Duke Lacrosse team, and its financing/importance to the University???
