i have been fuming about this show ever since i saw it on oprah. this show is horrible. i don't at all agree or condone what these predators are doing however, i think it is extremely irresponsible of dateline to air this show. it is so sensational and there are A LOT more people involved than just the pedophile they are exposing. AND to top it off, all they are doing is exposing people, they aren't even using it as a vehicle to catch people like oprah does... at least then i can agree with the exposure since it is actually helping. many of these pedophiles have wives, children, parents, entire communities of people that will stigmatized. i just don't believe it should all be so public at the expense of so many people. more importantly pedophilia is a serious MENTAL problem that needs to be addressed. many of these people have been abused themselves and i am sure a certain type of conditioning happens when you are young. you have to stop the cycle and you don't do that by just killing people. there are many disgusting ills in society...you don't just kill people off to deal with them. you must be from texas pychosamurai...which clearly explains your choice for a screen name.

It is impossible to please all people all of the time. I happen to absolutely love this show and so do millions of other parents across the US. Tough reporters who expose those who would prefer to hide in shadows duping their communities indefinitely. Kudos to NBC for ANOTHER socially relevant and honest hit show.

When you add "however" you are condoning what they do. There is no other effective method of protecting children aginst these types of criminals. Proven fact. Parents alone can make a difference, now that many of them are aware of pedohphiles tactics and what they want to do with their children in real and graphic honesty, they can now protect them commesurate to the threat.

It's been media irresponsibility NOT to air this information to the public because of it's controversy and taboo nature. A RESPONSIBLE citizen will do everything they can to air, expose, and identify those who are interested in a sexual encounter with a child.

Pedophiles are exposing themselves, their choice to engage a minor in sexual solicitation, nobody at NBC forced them to describe their erections to a 13 year old and try to show them in person. And yes, Dateline is helping them get caught and prosecuted. Over 100+ convictions in less than 3 years, and counting. I'd be interested to know what Oprah personally thinks of this. I bet you she loves it. Pedophiles are child terrorists hidden in the shadows, Oprah knows this better than you. Anything ordinary citizens can do to protect children from them is GREAT in my book.

The families of pedophiles should be actively taking part in getting their pedophile the help they need, and prevent them from committing more crimes. It's not societies' job (or the children they have harmed) to help these people or support them, or "forgive" them, or "protect them because they have mental issues.". What's that you say? Their families don't know because we're not allowed to expose them? Well, screw us then huh?

Nonsense. Plenty of survivors would never dream of harming a child. If your bike was stolen as a kid, are you going to grow up to be a bank robber? Or maybe a cop to protect others from getting their bikes stolen. It's a completely self-centered choice pedophiles make to satisfy a sexual urge and get a thrill that turns into obsession after a few times of getting away with it. Nothing else. And as long as there are people like YOU they will continue to get away with it with minimal consequence.

Nobody killed people. One alleged pedophile killed himself rather than stand trial for the child porn he had all over his computers. For generations victims of sexual abuse have been committing suicide rather than live with the emotional trauma. Nobody is killing off anybody. One pedophile kills himself and it's an outrage...where is the outrage for the 11 year old girl in NY who hung herself because she had endured years of sexual molestation from her neighbor? And the thousands of children who are STILL at risk for this because people like YOU contend their value is less than an upstanding tax-paying pedophile??

This is one disgusting ill in society that I am proud to say Dateline NBC, law enforcement all over the country and the citizen volunteers of Perverted Justice group is effectively treating.
