< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence The Swag Hags of Page Six![]() WE HEAR... Polonsky models some free merch at Fashion Week "Col was on the warpath," says an insider. But Steindler isn't the only one who doesn't seem to understand how much things have supposedly changed since April, when Jared Paul Stern was busted trying to use the column's clout for personal gain. Sources say full-time staffer Sarah Polonsky has been flagrantly running afoul of the Post's much touted ethical guidelines since she made the jump in July from the National Enquirer. Several weeks ago, Polonsky showed up at Manhattan's Gin Lane, uninvited, for an intimate birthday dinner for a colleague from the New York Daily News. When the check came, Polonsky attempted to get out of paying; according to one source, she actually told the waitress, "I work at Page Six. Don't you know who I am?" In another instance, Polonsky accepted a publicist's invitation to Stereo House (the summer home of NYC nightspot Stereo) in the Hamptons. Her co-workers at the Post learned of the trip when the Stereo House publicist sent out an e-mail touting Polonsky as one of several VIP guests who'd gotten free massages at the club, says a well-placed source. "She got called on the carpet for that," adds the source. "It's the little things like that—things they all used to do all the time, that they just can't do anymore." Aside from asking if we could use a different photo, Steindler declined to comment on yesterday's story. Polonsky was out of the office and unavailable for comment. Perhaps she was testing the limits of the paper's new junket policy?
