Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Commits Suicide

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has passed away, the Los Angeles County coroner confirms to RadarOnline.com. The star was just 41 years old.

According to reports, Bennington committed suicide by hanging at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County, and his body was discovered around 9 am pt.

Friends in the music community have begun offering tributes to the tragic star.

“I am in tears,” tweeted friend Nikki Sixx. “Chester just told me how happy he was.”

“So heartbroken,” posted the Imagine Dragons. “No words.”

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department told RadarOnline.com that they are currently investigating the incident.

Bennington has been open about struggling with mental health issues including addiction in the past.

"I was on 11 hits of acid a day. I dropped so much acid I'm surprised I can still speak! I'd smoke a bunch of crack, do a bit of meth and just sit there and freak out. Then I'd smoke opium to come down. I weighed 110 pounds,” he said in a 2016 interview.
