Kardashian Kids In Danger? Kim & Kourtney Expose Children To Scary Zika Virus
Kim Kardashian's daughter North West and Kourtney's kids Mason and Penelope seem to be having a blast on their Cuban getaway — but are the famous kids in grave danger?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added Cuba to their list of countries affected by the Zika virus, RadarOnline.com has learned.
"Local mosquito transmission of Zika infection has been reported in Cuba," the national public health organization reported on their website in an April 28 warning. "Local mosquito transmission means that mosquitoes in the area are infected with Zika virus and are spreading it to people."
The disease's symptoms include fever, rash, joint pain and conjunctivitis, but Zika can turn even more dangerous: It can trigger Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a neurological disorder that can cause muscle weakness and full-body paralysis.
Most famously, Zika is extremely risky for pregnant women, or women who are thinking of becoming pregnant, as the disease can cause major birth defects in an unborn child.
As RadarOnline.com reported, 35-year-old mother of two Kim's husband Kanye West wants to add to their brood, which also includes infant son Saint, 5 months.
And sources say sis Khloe, 31, is looking into options for single motherhood.
In addition to Zika, Kim, Khoe, Kourtney, 37, and the little ones are also exposed to other illnesses in a third world country like Cuba, New York physician Dr. Stuart Fischer tells RadarOnline.com.
"They could get bacterial infections and parasites from fruits, vegetables and water," Dr. Stuart Fischer says, adding that small children like North, 2, Mason, 6, and Penelope, 3, would be especially susceptible. "They should be watching their children at all times!"
