Peanuts star Peter Robbins, who voiced main character Charlie Brown in the 1960s original series, has plead guilt after threatening to kill San Diego sheriff Bill Gore, Jezebel reports.

The actor, who owns a dog named Snoopy, was arrested in September after claiming he'd hire a hitman for $50,000 to kill Gore, as well as his judge.

But this isn't Robbins' first offense. Two years prior, the 59-year-old was charged with making threats to his girlfriend and even stalking the plastic surgeon who performed her breast augmentation.

At that time, Robbins was sentenced to probation as well as domestic violence courses and a drug treatment program. But when the actor failed to complete his courses and maintain probation regulations—cutting off his GPS bracelet and consuming alcohol—he was arrested again.

Robbins was further chastised for calling the judge an "asshole" and sharing that he hoped he would die of a heart attack.

This time around, Robbins hopes to avoid a five-year sentence, pleading guilty on the grounds that he suffers from bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia and should therefore receive treatment, not jail time.

"I want justice to be served," he told Superior Court Judge William Chidsey Jr. on Tuesday. "But I'm mentally ill. To stick me in state prison is not benefitting the justice system. I feel I'm entitled to at least a second chance."
