Martha Stewart’s catty attack on her fellow “lifestyle guru,” Gwyneth Paltrow, caused the Goop goddess’ protective mom, Blythe Danner, to go on the warpath, the new issue of The National ENQUIRER reports.

A source says Stewart, 73, got an earful from her longtime friend Danner, 71, after the domestic diva publicly slammed Paltrow.

As RadarOnline.com recently reported, Stewart accused Paltrow, 42, who produces the upscale Goop web site, of copying her.

In a recent interview with Net-a-Porter’s Porter magazine, the lifestyle Queen picked on Paltrow, saying, “She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”

Now The ENQUIRER reports that an angry Danner called Stewart and “asked Martha how she could say such a cruel thing about her daughter,” a source says.

Stewart responded that “she was just calling ‘em as she sees ‘em. Blythe was disgusted.”

As RadarOnline.com readers know, the two lifestyle mavens have clashed since 2011 when Stewart left Paltrow’s dinner party for her first cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, early, leaving the Iron Man star offended.

Reps for Stewart later claimed she had a previous engagement.
